    After the MFAH screenings March 68, Rice Cinema presents three additional films March 13–15: Flowers of Shanghai (1998), Good Men Good Women (1995), and Millennium Mambo (2001). International retrospective organized by Richard I. Suchenski in collaboration with the Taipei Cultural Center, New York; the Taiwan Film Institute, Taipei; and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of China, Taiwan.

    Legendary artist Jerry Schatzberg has selected three of his films to present at the MFAH over the weekend of May 31 to June 2. On Friday and Saturday, a discussion follows each screening. His films mark a significant time in the history of cinema when the importance of solid and introspective narrative proved paramount.”  During the renaissance of American cinema in the 1970s, Schatzberg directed The Panic in Needle Park, Puzzle of a Downfall Child, and Scarecrow.
