When Fall Is Coming (Quand vient l’automne) Friday, April 18, 2025 7 p.m.-8:45 p.m.
Loving grandmother Michelle (Hélène Vincent) enjoys a peaceful retirement in a small Burgundy village near her longtime friend Marie-Claude (Josiane Balasko). But when daughter Valérie drops off Michelle’s grandson Lucas for his autumn vacation, nothing goes as planned. For this film, director François Ozon (known for 8 Women and two favorites shown in Five Funny French Films, Mon Crime and Potiche) cast two stars who are close friends in real life, teasing, “I wanted to combine the challenges of aging with a thriller component.”
