Virtual Series | Fascinating Finds Tuesday, August 27, 2024 7 p.m.-8 p.m.

August 13, 20 & 27, 2024
Over the course of three evenings—held virtually—expert speakers from Bayou Bend give each of three works its time in the spotlight and discover what makes it a ”Fascinating Find.”

A new, compact clock with a patented alarm mechanism heralds the signs of a changing world order; silver candlesticks illuminate the story of a historic trade route; and a brilliant blue-glass kerosene lamp lights the way toward America’s future. What do these objects have in common? In addition to recently entering the Bayou Bend Collection, they all have something interesting to say about the world in which they came to be.
