Save the Green Planet! (Jigureul jikyeora!) Sunday, November 3, 2024 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
Ahead of its time in 2003, Save the Green Planet! is now a cult favorite due the popularity of the Korean New Wave. Byeong-gu (Shin Ha-kyun) believes the world is on the verge of an alien invasion, and sets out to save planet Earth. Convinced that the head of a chemical production company (Baek Yun-shik) is their leader, he kidnaps and tortures him, hoping the “alien” will confess to his crimes and call off the planned destruction of the planet before it is too late. Soon to be remade as Bugonia by filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos (Poor Things) starring Oscar winner Emma Stone.
