Performance | Han Narea + Arts of Korea Gallery Celebration Friday, October 11, 2024 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.

Friday, October 11
Join the Museum and Han Narea for an evening celebrating the Arts of Korea Gallery. Enjoy live music and dance performances, including Han Narea's traditional Korean dance and an all-woman group, Dori, from Seoul, performing Samulnori—a music style rooted in traditional village celebrations using percussion instruments.

The Arts of Korea Gallery is the first gallery in the American South dedicated to Korean art. The collection includes centuries of Korean artistic production, featuring scholars’ accessories, ritual ceramics, ink paintings, and everyday decorative works, alongside pieces by contemporary artists Geejo Lee, Ran Hwang, and Lee Ufan.
