The 2024–2025 Core Program Lecture Series features a talk presented by Leigh Arnold.
About the Speaker
Leigh A. Arnold is a curator at the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas and a scholar specializing in Land Art, Minimalism, and Post-Minimalist sculpture. In 2019, she curated Elmgreen & Dragset: Sculptures, the first major U.S. museum exhibition by the artist duo, as well as The Four Fs: Family, Finance, Faith, and Friends, the first solo exhibition in North America featuring French sound artist Anne Le Troter and her first work in English. In 2022, Arnold curated Lynda Benglis, showcasing new and recent works by the artist, alongside Matthew Ronay: The Crack, the Swell, an Earth, an Ode. She also curated the 2023 exhibition Groundswell: Women of Land Art, a reappraisal of Land Art through the pioneering work of 12 women sculptors. Arnold holds a PhD from the University of Texas at Dallas and has published on artists including Genesis Belanger, Beverly Buchanan, Melvin Edwards, and Robert Smithson.
