Bayou Bend Virtual Summer Camp | “Crafting America” Monday, August 5, 2024 5 p.m.-6 p.m.

August 5–9, 2024
In this unique virtual camp experience—designed for ages 7 to 12—children develop an understanding of daily life in 1700s-era Colonial America by looking at the things people made. Camp sessions include units on candle-making, pickling vegetables, music, tea, gardening, and historic toys.

Virtual visits with instructors from the Museum and community offer unparalleled access to expert instruction. Campers can participate in projects at home by obtaining the items required through a provided supply list.

How to Sign Up
Virtual Summer Camp at Bayou Bend is free with advance registration. Sessions take place live via Zoom at 5 p.m. daily, Monday–Friday, August 5 to August 9. All sessions are recorded for later viewing and provided to those who register.

Free supply kits provided by the museum have all been claimed, but registration remains open. Please contact Bayou Bend to obtain a supply list if you wish to participate in the art-making activity portion of the program.
