Introduced by Rob Arcos, MFAH Audio-Visual Technician

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, All About My Mother tells the story of Manuela (Cecilia Roth) coping with a tragic loss that leads her back to a home she left. There she meets a pregnant nun, Rosa (Penélope Cruz), and ends up working for Huma, the actress Manuela’s son admired while touring A Streetcar Named Desire—the show that led to the tragedy with which Manuela is reconciling.

"Pedro Almodóvar crafts a piece of art allowing viewers to reflect on their own struggles through these characters and find the courage to process their pain and embrace their love." —Rob Arcos
