What are your top five works of art in the MFAH collections? I surprised myself in trying to narrow my favorite works down to five; I would have been more comfortable with 25!

    Does the MFAH offer art and art history classes? Yes. Check out the course schedule for the Glassell School of Art, where you can take art history and studio courses year-round. There are several ways to find information about artists and works of art, and to do general art research. Students of any college or university can receive free admission any day the Museum is open by presenting an art-related assignment and college ID at an admissions desk.

    Oct 15, 2015 - During construction of the new building by Steven Holl Architects, Studio School classes and the Core program have relocated to off-site facilities nearby. During those early years, the school offered six classes for students from age 9 to 14. By 1939, 14 courses were offered for adults and children, with an enrollment of 196 students. Initially, classes for both the Junior School and Studio School were conducted there. In 1982, the Core Residency Program was established for artists, and in 1998 a critics’ residency was added.
