  2. Houston Jewish Film Festival

    -- Begin Grid Row --> The MFAH and the Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center present the 2024 Houston Jewish Film Festival, March 24–April 4. At the Museum, you can see two films about individuals connected to the art world. Screenings at the MFAH take place on March 28.   4. Houston Cinema Arts Festival

  5. Homeschool Family Workshops

    A. L. Ballard; Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Each workshop includes an interactive gallery tour followed by a group discussion in the galleries, as well as an art-making activity that examines a selected work of art.   7. Hitchcock Silents

    "The Hitchcock 9" is a joint venture of the BFI, Rialto Pictures/STUDIOCANAL, and Park Circus/ITV. Special ticket prices apply for these silent-film concerts. General admission is $15. MFAH members, students with ID, and senior adults receive a $3 discount. Hitchcock Silents are generously underwritten by Salle and James Vaughn, on behalf of The Vaughn Foundation. Bruce Goldstein of the Film Forum hired a group of actors and a sound effects expert and the soundtrack was recreated live at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood for the Turner Classic Movie Film Festival in April of 2013.

  8. History Book Club

    These preview evenings feature lectures from curators and scholars, tours of exhibitions, interactive workshops, and discussions designed for pre-K–16 teachers, curriculum specialists, and administrators. All Learning and Interpretation programs at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, receive endowment income from funds provided by the Louise Jarrett Moran Bequest; Caroline Wiess Law; the William Randolph Hearst Foundation; The National Explore upcoming exhibitions, collection areas, and opportunities at the Museum for educators.   10. Hear the Art! Concerts by Cantare Houston
