The folios were hung along the top edge, allowing the bottom of the sheet to hang freely—a preference of both the artist and curator. Once the template was completed, a beveled mat, which was segmented to match the eight edge strips, was attached to the top of the embedded magnet strips to conceal the magnets and give the appearance of a typical mat.
