Saturday Members Tour | New Galleries for Art of the Islamic Worlds
In April, join a docent on a tour of the galleries for Art of the Islamic Worlds, newly opened spaces that display, for the first time, the full extent of the MFAH holdings in art from historically Islamic lands. The galleries are a culmination of the partnership between the Museum, Houston’s dynamic communities, and a major MFAH initiative to develop exhibitions, scholarship, and programs around art of the Islamic worlds. The collection is enhanced by a significant selection of Persian masterworks on extended loan from the distinguished collection of Hossein Afshar.
