Carolyn Pfeiffer: A Cinematic Life
-- Begin Grid Row --> October 20–22, 2023 Carolyn Pfeiffer, a film-industry veteran, introduces movies from her storied career and signs copies of her memoir, Chasing the Panther: Adventures and Misadventures of a Cinematic Pfeiffer also produced and distributed films in Jamaica and the United States, including a longstanding collaboration with Alan Rudolph. Also available is the book The Ocean Is Closed: Journalistic Adventures and Investigations, a collection of work by her late husband, magazine writer Jon Bradshaw.

Claudia Cardinale: The Indomitable
Selections include highlights from her early career, as well as her iconic roles in 8 1/2, The Leopard, and Once Upon a Time in the West. Thelma Ritter: Hollywood’s Favorite New Yorker

In her films, she was often cast as the assistant to the star. Between 1951 and 1963, Ritter won a Tony Award and was nominated for six Academy Awards. Film historian Christina Putnam, a native Houstonian whose biography of Ritter is forthcoming, introduces selected screenings.
