Book a Tour You can show your students the MFAH a few different ways! Pick the method that works best for your classroom: Interested in showing your students around the MFAH on your own? MFAH Bus Scholarship Fund
Q) When will I find out the final status of my application for the bus scholarship? A) Notification will be given via e-mail or phone within 5 business days of the submission date of your application. A) First, submit a request for a self-guided visit, and within 3 days of that submission, send a completed bus-scholarship application form to schooltours@mfah.org. Scholarships are subject to availability. Q) How do I cancel my requested date and bus scholarship application? A) Please give as much notice as possible when canceling a guided tour or self-guided visit.

Frequently Asked Questions: School Tours
Both guided and self-guided tours are booked for one hour in the Museum within a specific timeframe (e.g., 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.). What if I need to cancel my visit? If you have questions about taking a photo in a specific gallery, a guard or other Musuem staff can help you determine if photography is allowed. This four-step process encourages close looking and careful thinking with any work of art, whether viewed in the Museum, in the classroom, or at home. Choose a work of art from the slideshow above, and use the strategies of LOOK, DESCRIBE, THINK, and CONNECT as you look closely with your students.
