    In this gallery program for visitors who are blind or partially sighted, trained educators use verbal descriptions and hands-on materials to engage participants with the Museum’s art collections and exhibitions.

    Children ages 3 to 5 learn how selected works of art in the Museum galleries were created. This program includes a tour with an educator, an art-making project, a storybook circle, and multi-sensory play.

    Are you an amateur photographer? The Bayou Bend gardens provide a unique opportunity! Capture the beautiful blooms, gorgeous woodlands, and formal landscapes through your own lens.

    A Woman in Love (Enamorada)

    During the Mexican revolution, General José Juan Reyes (Pedro Armendáriz) occupies the city of Cholula. The rebellious officer yearns to take revenge on the city’s high society, until he becomes enamored of the wealthiest aristocrat’s fiercely independent daughter (María Félix).

    Homelands and Histories: Photographs by Fazal Sheikh

    Beck Building

    Homelands and Histories: Photographs by Fazal Sheikh celebrates a major MFAH acquisition of 75 photographs spanning the artist’s career. This 45-minute tour explores the exhibition and encourages visitors to discuss the artwork together.

    Oliver Twist

    David Lean was puzzled when pale, young Alec Guinness asked to play Fagin, Charles Dickens’s grotesque old king of pickpockets. A screen test won Guinness the part in his second film role and second collaboration with Lean.

    Visit the Rienzi gardens and capture their oasis-in-the-city beauty from behind the lens. Snap photos of the colorful flowers, lush green spaces, interesting architectural details, and eclectic statues.
