Tune in for a free, live discussion about historical and contemporary facets of Japanese tea culture. A brief history of the Japanese tea ceremony sets the stage for a look at the appreciation of tea bowls and accoutrements as related to the changing seasons. Showcasing a wide variety of different styles and focusing on contemporary artists, this talk demonstrates the importance of seasonality in Japanese art and culture.
