Saturday Members Tour | Sarofim Collection of American Modernism
► Advance tickets are sold out, with a limited number available on-site the morning of the tour.
MFAH members are invited to explore the Museum’s art collections and exhibitions on special Saturday tours. Topics change monthly.
In September, join a docent on a tour of 20th-century American art on long-term loan from the Sarofim Foundation, now on view in the Nancy and Rich Kinder Building. Masterworks from the distinguished collection of late Houston philanthropist Fayez S. Sarofim have been placed on extended loan to the Museum in a collaboration between the MFAH and the foundation. Sarofim, who died in May 2022, assembled one of the most significant collections of American art in private hands.
“The Sarofim collection represents ‘a quantum leap’ for the MFAH display of American 19th- and 20th-century art” —Houston Chronicle
