Performance | Arts of Korea Gallery Celebration

October 11, 2024
The MFAH teams up with the organization Han Narea for an evening in celebration of the Arts of Korea Gallery. Enjoy live music and dance performances, including Han Narea’s traditional Korean dance. Dori, an all-woman group from Seoul, performs Nongak and Samulnori, a style of percussion music rooted in traditional village celebrations.

The Arts of Korea Gallery is the first gallery in the American South dedicated to Korean art. Centuries of Korean artistic production, featuring scholars’ accessories, ritual ceramics, ink paintings, and everyday decorative objects, are on view alongside works by contemporary artists Geejo Lee, Ran Hwang, and Lee Ufan.
