Members Preview Lecture with the Curator of “Kehinde Wiley: An Archaeology of Silence”

November 18, 2023

► Advance tickets are sold out, with limited seating available immediately prior to the lecture.

MFAH members are invited to an exclusive lecture about Kehinde Wiley: An Archaeology of Silence. The exhibition, which opens to the public on November 19, offers a haunting meditation on systemic violence against Black and Brown people, presented through imagery of European art-historical references.

An Archaeology of Silence premiered earlier this year at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, and the MFAH is the first stop on the tour. Claudia Schmuckli, curator of contemporary art at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, shares her insights during this talk.
