The Kinder Institute Forum presents Robert L. Santos, director of the U.S. Census Bureau, in conversation with Ruth N. López Turley, director of the Kinder Institute. They discuss leveraging data to advance equity and diversity, lessons learned from the 2020 census, and plans to reach historically undercounted communities in 2030.

Tickets are free with registration. The conversation takes place in Brown Auditorium Theater on the lower level of the Law Building. On Wednesdays, the Museum is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

About the Speaker
Robert L. Santos is the U.S. Census Bureau’s first Latinx director. His career spans more than 40 years in survey research, statistical design, and analysis. He has worked across a wide range of policy areas including education, health, immigration, environmental issues, and housing.

The Kinder Institute Forum lecture series brings thought leaders from around the world to Houston to share ideas about pressing urban issues.
