Art Encounters

This Art Encounters session focuses on creating a collaborative mosaic inspired by the work of contemporary artist Tyler Allen and by Louis Comfort Tiffany’s A Wooded Landscape in Three Panels. Participants are invited to join Allen in exploring organic forms found in nature while drawing inspiration from stained-glass artistry.

Admission is free. This program takes place in the Arrivals Hall on the lower level of the Kinder Building. On Thursdays, the Museum is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with free general admission. 

About the Artist
Tyler Allen is a conceptual artist from Houston. He received his MFA in integrated practices from Pratt Institute and BFA from Texas Southern University. Allen works in a variety of mediums, with a focus on collage, printmaking, and assemblage.
