An annual collaboration between the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and area high schools, Eye on Houston: High School Documentary Photography celebrates Houston’s diverse neighborhoods.
This year, students from three schools—Bellaire High School, César E. Chávez High School, and Jack Yates High School—recorded daily life in their communities. The talented teens also captured personal moments that reflect their sense of self, their future, and their imminent transition into adulthood.
Formerly known as Eye on Third Ward, the program was founded in 1995 with Yates High School to encourage students to hone their technological skills and powers of observation.
The "Eye on Houston: High School Documentary Photography" exhibition receives generous funding from the CFP Foundation, Texas Commission on the Arts, and the Junior League of Houston, Inc.
