The MFAH at a Glance
Located in the heart of Texas’s largest city, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, is a dynamic cultural complex consisting of two museum buildings, two art schools, two decorative arts centers, and a sculpture garden.
With its encyclopedic collection and an exciting schedule of international loan exhibitions and award-winning programs, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, is one of the premier destinations in the United States for art lovers.
The MFAH Main Campus
Consisting of the Law and Beck buildings, the Glassell School of Art, the Glassell Junior School, and the Sculpture Garden, the main complex of buildings is located in the Museum District at Main and Binz Streets.

Caroline Wiess Law Building
The museum’s original building dating from 1924, now has two additions designed by Mies van der Rohe.
Hirsch Library and MFAH Archives
Open to the public, this is one of the largest art reference libraries in the Southwest. It is located on the first floor of the Law Building. The MFAH Archives is available for research by appointment.

Audrey Jones Beck Building
Designed by the architect Rafael Moneo, the Beck Building opened in 2000.

Lillie and Hugh Roy Cullen Sculpture Garden
In 1986, sculptor, Isamu Noguchi created this peaceful garden filled with sculpture.

Alfred C. Glassell School of Art
Founded in 1979, the Glassell School is the teaching wing of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.

MFAH Decorative Arts Centers
The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston also has two additional facilities near the main campus that are dedicated to presenting American and European decorative arts.

Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens
A house museum showcasing one of the leading collections of American decorative and fine arts in the world, Bayou Bend became a part of the MFAH in 1957.
