The museum´s incredible collection of prints and drawings comprises approximately 5,000 prints and 650 drawings.

Five Centuries of Masterpieces on Paper
The prints and drawings collection at the MFAH spans five centuries of art history, from the 15th century to the present. The early works are chiefly European. Starting with the second half of the 19th century, the collection becomes progressively more American.

Works on paper are displayed in a series of exciting thematic presentations in the Beck Building Cameron Foundation Gallery. People interested in specific works may make an appointment to see them in the Works on Paper Study Center, the only facility of its kind in the Southwest.
The Works on Paper Study Center is open by appointment Monday through Friday from 10am to 1:00pm and from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. It is available for groups of up to 20 to view works from the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston´s collections in Photography and Works on Paper. Appointments can be made by calling Del Zogg, Manager, Works on Paper Study Center at 713-639-7352. Call at least 2 weeks in advance for an appointment. The Study Center is located on the mezzanine level of the Audrey Jones Beck Building at 5601 Main Street, Houston. Individuals or groups with scheduled appointments should report to the security desk to be escorted to the Study Center.
